How to Make Overnight Oats

Sure. “You’re your own worst enemy.” But why can’t you be “your own best friend” instead?

Frankly, we’re shocked the saying doesn’t exist, but let’s pretend it does and think how you—your own best friend—would start your morning routine.

  1. Wake up after a full 8 hours of sleep
  2. Eat breakfast
  3. Tell yourself how awesome you are... that's what friends are for, right?

Let’s talk about #2 because we’re all guilty of skipping the most important meal. After all, not all of us have the power to wake up early, especially if #1 is a concern. Lucky for you Masontops has cracked the code to make it all happen and we want to share the secret to our success.

Ta-da: overnight oats.

Overnight oats is basically a non-cook oatmeal that you leave in the fridge overnight. We love making overnight oats because we get to use Mason jars and our Chalk Tops + Top Chalk. Easy, healthy, delicious and adorable (everything looks cuter in a Mason jar), overnight oats will revolutionize your morning.

Here is our favorite recipe for Dairy-Free Raspberry Banana Oats. All you need is...

  • 1 standard size Mason jar
  • 1 Chalk Top
  • Chalk or Top Chalk*
  • 1/2 cup quick oats
  • 1/2 cup vanilla almond milk
  • 1/3 cup sliced banana
  • 1/2 cup raspberries
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds

To make, just throw in your quick oats, add the vanilla almond milk, then layer the rest of your ingredients in your Mason jar, put on the lid and shake. Leave the Mason jar in the fridge overnight and in the morning you will have breakfast ready. If you find it's dry, add some extra almond milk.

*If you really want to call yourself your own best friend, you should leave yourself a motivational message with Masontops Chalk Top and Top Chalk Marker. We recommend "You're Awesome," but anything goes ;)
